     - In this module, we will also explore the opportunities and challenges of market development and commercialization. We’ll provide an orientation to key marketing concepts critical to developing and commercializing innovative products and services.

     - We're excited now to welcome you to our final module on market development and commercialization. I'm excited to partner with Dan Dearing, one of our top faculty from the Master of Professional Studies and Technology Entrepreneurship, here at the University of Maryland.

     - Dan brings over 20 years of experience in product management and marketing for a number of innovative firms and a breadth of industries. Some of the topics that Dan will be exploring are marketing challenges with attention to common mistakes, the importance of knowing customers, and rethinking the classic four P's of marketing.

     - He'll also be talking about customer development, marketing types, and how that impacts marketing strategy. And he'll wrap up by discussing crossing the chasm, some of the basics of this as well as how to solve some of the key customer problems, how to segment the market, as well as how to expand the market. So again, we welcome Dan, and we're sure that you're going to enjoy this next segment.
